KINDRED KITCHEN

A collaboration between EnCraft and Good Kinsmen

There was a time, not so very long ago, when the kitchen was furnished, not installed. The furniture you cooked beside had weight and presence. It had a place in the family story. And when you moved, it moved with you.

Then efficiency arrived, and the freestanding pieces that had furnished American kitchens for generations quietly disappeared.

Kindred Kitchen is a quiet act of reclamation.

Born from a conversation between Sara and Jim LaMance of EnCraft and Vicki Lawrenson of Good Kinsmen, Kindred Kitchen asks a simple question: What if the kitchen could be furnished again?

These are not cabinets in the conventional sense. They are pieces, a hutch, a sideboard, a display cabinet, that bring the warmth and character of heirloom furniture into the most-used room in your home. They sit beautifully next to fitted cabinets. And when life moves you on, they move with you.

Semi-custom, available in five paint colors and three wood options, with interchangeable hardware so every detail can be made entirely your own. Handcrafted at EnCraft’s Chattanooga shop and built to last not one lifetime, but several.
